The song gained attention for its traditional Japanese costume and Nakamori’s original choreography.

Lyrics Content

The song that begins with “Get Up, burning heart” seems to convey:

“Life with you is blessed and comfortable. But even though I’m with you, there are times when I feel bored, and I’d rather be dancing than just talking with you.”

“Oh, I want a love that can make me as passionate as this dance, or even more.”
“Even if it’s a forbidden love with many losses and the risk of falling, I want a fiery love.”
“I want to dream of such a love. I want to keep the passion to never give up on that dream.”

Personally, I think this song is so cool and rock-like that I absolutely love it.

Overview

In 1981, Akina Nakamori passed a television audition program, “Star Tanjou!” (Star Birth!), and made her debut with the single “Slow Motion” in 1982.

She went on to achieve successive hits with songs like “Shojo A,” “Second Love,” “North Wing,” and “Kazari Janai no yo Namida wa.”

In 1985, she won the Japan Record Award for two consecutive years with “Mi Amore” and in 1986 with “DESIRE -Jounetsu-.”

Although she took a break from October 2010 due to health issues, she continued her music career at a controlled pace, appearing as a special guest at the 65th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in 2014 and releasing a cover album, “Utahime 4 – My Eggs Benedict.”

As a fan, I hope she doesn’t overexert herself and occasionally blesses us with her mature songs.

What I love most about Akina is the passion I feel in her singing.
It truly feels like her soul is embedded in every song.

At times, that soulfulness seems so poignant and sad that it reaches out and touches the listener. I believe she channels the cries of her soul into her music.

She is truly an amazing singer and artist.
